Description

EPA Victoria is hosting international guest presenters Dr Judith Chow and Dr John Watson from the Desert Research Institute for a full day program focusing on particulate pollution in Victoria.

The program will also feature presentations from two of Australia’s leading researchers in airborne fine particle characterisation and source appointment studies and research, Professor David Cohen and Dr Melita Keywood.

The day's presentations will focus on particulate matter, specifically in Melbourne and Victoria and source apportionment and methodologies applicable to Victoria and Australia including:

  • the speciation and spatial resolution recommended
  • specific pointers to examine for Victorian conditions (such as heat, dust events, bushfires, high Sulphur fuels, large brown coal resources, ports).

The full day forum will include presentations from organisations including CASANZ and CSIRO.

A Q&A session will provide students, academics, staff and others the opportunity to ask questions, discuss key issues, provide feedback and delve deeper into areas of research interest.
